About us
Sankofa African Network Impact Awards (SANIA) is an annual event organized by Sankofa African Network, a Virginia-based nonprofit. The event is aimed at recognizing and celebrating the outstanding contributions of individuals/groups within the African community. The organizer’s vision is to unite all Africans in celebration of great acts of service and build a greater sense of unity and connection within the community.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Sankofa African Network to continue providing legal support services, social integration support, youth tutoring/counseling services and broadcast media services for the underserved populations in the Washington DC area. As a fundraising gala, we deeply value any contributions made to not only support this exceptional project but also pave the way for future endeavors. This year event will consist of the celebrating awards, live entertainment, and dinner. There will be an after party right after the award show, where recipient, nominees and attendees will fuse, networking and commemorate.
